Sacrifice: According to webster’s dictionary the definition of sacrifice is “destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else.
I found myself today thinking.... we fleshly people freely use the word sacrifice without hesitation or descretion. Is it truly a sacrifice to choose to watch one particular tv show over another? Is it truly a sacrifice to not go to the movies one weekend because we have a bill to pay? No... that is no sacrifice at all and in my opinion is that's a horrible way to discredit the word entirely.
I decided Webster is wrong.. ( ha once again mere man makes an error, who would've thought)... The Lord's true definition of sacrifice is as follows:
"To pure hearted Christians the word sacrifice is anything but just a word with a simple definition. It was the greatest act of spiritual love, bounded by faith. A renewing of mankind. Restoration from destruction. Jesus willingly surrendered his life for the sake of every man, woman and child, and in his final moments during his violent tribute, still his last words spoken in human flesh were that of love."
That is the REAL definition of sacrifice.
